Even one of the wealthiest communities in the country isn’t immune to homelessness. Montgomery County joined a nationwide movement Wednesday to find 100,000 permanent homes for chronically homeless residents.

Maryland Builders for Oklahoma

Jim Thompson offers challenge match!

On Thursday, May 23, 2013, MNCBIA Member Jim Thompson of WF Wilson & Sons, announced a special giving challenge to Maryland building industry members interested in helping victims of the Moore, Oklahoma tornado.

Mr. Thompson pledged to match the first $1500 in donations to a OK tornado relief fund created by Home Builders Care Foundation. All donations are tax-deductible. To date, we are up to $1000.  More is needed to meet this challenge!

Now – through June 7, 2013HBCF will be collecting donations for OK. All funds, including Mr. Thompson’s match, will be forwarded to the Oklahoma Home Builders Foundation set up through the National Association of Home Builders. Please mark your donation to the OK tornado.

The Central Oklahoma Home Builders Association and the Home Builders Association of Greater Tulsa are coordinating assistance efforts on behalf of the home building community.
