The Home Builders Care Foundation (HBCF) is a local nonprofit charitable construction program that provides key technical assistance, professional skilled labor and volunteer hours, as well as building materials for construction projects that provide shelter for our region’s homeless families and individuals.
For years, HBCF has been building to make a difference. By lending our resources, we have helped community non-profits and local governments meet the challenges of providing a safety net for our most vulnerable citizens. As the primary charitable affiliate program of the Maryland National-Capital Building Industry Association (MNCBIA), we believe that everyone deserves the dignity of a home.
As we begin to celebrate our 30 year anniversary, HBCF is introducing a special fund raising networking event. Please join us at our first annual Community Builders Bull & Oyster Roast – on the grounds of the Ruppert Companies’ beautiful LEED-certified corporate headquarter campus in Laytonsville, Maryland. We would love for you and your friends and colleagues to attend.
At the roast, HBCF will honor its founder, Mr. Robert L. Mitchell, a past-president of MNCBIA and also a past-president of the National Association of Home Builders. Mr. Mitchell established HBCF in the early 80s as Operation Tom Sawyer by believing that homebuilders have a responsibility to serve the needs of growing communities and make every home a part of that community. His dedication to the principle of community service is at the core of the Home Builders Care Foundation.
We encourage you to participate as a Roast Sponsor. Event information, including sponsorshiplevels, can be found here. A portion of each sponsor fee and ticket sale is considered a tax-deductible donation and will help HBCF leverage the in-kind assistance we provide to help shelter the needy and vulnerable in our communities. It is our aim to make this event the main fund-raising activity for HBCF and we wish to provide contributing sponsors prime recognition to the industry and within our communities. Your support and generosity will be so greatly appreciated.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact HBCF Director Patti Kane at 301-445-5410 / firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you so much for your consideration. We hope to see you on April 25!
